Record Grading Guide:
- Mint (M) – Absolutely perfect in every way. Never been played and usually sealed.
- Near Mint (NM) – The record has been on a shelf between other records. The vinyl looks glossy and clearly has only been played a few times. There are no marks on the vinyl and the whole package is complete.
- Excellent (E) – Same but I’d tolerate very light marks where the vinyl has been in and out of the inner sleeve a few times, or tiny signs of use generally.
- Very Good Plus (VG+) – A few further faults are acceptable, but nothing that really compromises the record visually or audibly. A little rub, light inaudible marks, a little background crackle.
- Very Good (VG) – It’s seen a bit of life, but is still usable. Light pops and clicks, an edge split, light visible scratches. You can still listen to it and enjoy looking at it, but it is visually and audibly USED.
- Good (G) – To be honest you’re making trouble for yourself here, as Good means Bad. I’d only be selling something really desirable in this condition, with a bargain price and a full, no holds barred description to match.
- Poor (P), Fair (F) Attempting to listen will be a disturbing experience. Expect major noise issues, skipping or repeating. The record itself is cracked, badly warped and has deep scratches. The cover is also approaching death.

Product Description
Helsinki quartet Alder Ego, led by drummer/composer Joonas Leppänen, returns with their new album "III" on 9 April on We Jazz Records. A follow up to their successful 2018 We Jazz album, "III" finds Leppänen and his bandmates extracting more depth and punch out of their tenor sax + trumpet + double bass + drums setup, which echoes the greats in the game, such as Ornette Coleman, yet adds a readily identifiable edge to it all. Leppänen's writing is evolving, becoming more and more of a signature of the band and sounding delightfully angular yet easily flowing. On "III", Alder Ego features Leppänen on drums, Jarno Tikka (of OK:KO) on tenor sax, Tomi Nikku (of Bowman Trio) on trumpet and the new addition Nathan Francis on bass.Kicking off with a key track introducing the band's deep sound, "Love And Maladies", "III" moves through a sonic landscape which is constantly surprising yet identifiable as Alder Ego guided by Leppänen's musical vision at all times. This is true even during moments when the composer himself steps aside, namely in the Tikka–Nikku duo cut "Impermanence" and Nathan Francis's highly memorable solo outing "Nathan's World".The album's many highlights include singles "November Ghost" and "I Saw It In a Dream", plus the stunning closing track "Ephemeral", featuring Natalia Castrillon on harp.Joonas Leppänen says:”The music of Alder Ego’s third album was conceived in various situations and places from a peaceful early spring in the island of Gotland in Sweden, to the early moments of the pandemic, when the world was shut down abruptly. Since the release of our second album in 2018, the band has played extensively in Finland and elsewhere, and the music (and our improvisation) has become bolder and the sound of the group has evolved significantly. My recent thoughts as a composer have been revolving around the idea of ’the artist’s ego’. I have been wrapped up in a constant existential inner dialogue: What is meaningful in music? Why do I play? Why do I compose? Why do I need to make an album? What moves me? Et cetera. I do not have to prove myself to anyone, the music is more important than that. In the end it’s all about sharing. And about love.As a bandleader I have been thinking about my fellow bandmates a lot. As I have gotten to know them better as individuals and artists, I have developed a feel for how my music could provide a platform for them to “shine” brightly. So the philosophy behind this album is definitely about how to leave space for things to develop. It’s important to me that the music can breathe and has an organic feel to it, and that the music I am involved with maintains a sense of fragility in it.I am a hardcore film buff, and just as a great director knows how to get the best out of the actors in the movie, I feel that the role of the jazz composer is to aim for the same thing with the musicians in the ensemble. So I write music for these particular people, in this particular time.I also appreciate the fact how a great movie might consist of like 30% of the material of what was initially filmed. “Kill your darlings.” In the process of writing this album, I applied this method extensively. The world has enough excess debris already, so we need meaningful things and only things that are essential should be a part of any given musical piece.I don’t want to call this album a ’pandemic era album’, but one thing that all of this has taught us is how the planet and its inhabitants are deeply interconnected. In music this applies to the musicians playing it, the space in which it was written in, the recording engineer who mixed it, the label that is releasing it, the audience who is listening to it, and so on. These elements are all essential and ultimately each as important. All of these parts are also very fragile and we need to do all we can to support them. I believe that when the pandemic is eventually over, we need music more than ever, and its a true privilege to be releasing this music in 2021. Let’s not waste any time. Let’s keep making meaningful things." released April 9, 2021

from 340 reviewsThis sturdy sidekick goes with me eveywhere and keeps everything organized and within hand's reach. Zipper pocket holds way more than I imagined. On an average day it's filled with my wallet, smokes, keys, glasses, usb sticks and other random items. The two pockets arw great for things you reach for often. Mine usually has a lighter and my cell. I usually wear it across my chest but it also works like a money belt (or hip sack) around your waste which I've done on some travel days when discretion is advised. Quality is bullet proof. Another T&B sure shot.
I just absolutely love the bag. They accommodate my need of a faster shipping, just in time to take my vinyls to a gig. If you read this you should buy a bag. You’ll not regret it.
Lovely product, and is the exact specifications to pass a frontier airlines free carry on. 😆
incredible craftsmanship and design. sturdy as hell. thank you, A+ product!
The craftsmanship is impeccable and it looks sleek af 🔥 customer service experience is top tier 🙆🏽♂️ i hope they make more again in camo or brown, i missed out on the black. Thanks Case!
This is my 4th purchase from Tucker & Bloom. I already have two of the Rhodes Backpacks, and one Mini Messenger bag. As always, the quality of the materials and the thoughtfulness of the design are both incredible. They are pricier than your average bag, but they are a million times better than your average bag, and will last for decades. Plus, they hold vinyl LPs! Couldn't ask for anything more.
Amazing craftsmanship and detailed. Shipping was fast and on time.
The shipping was pretty slow, but when I contacted the company by email they responded within minutes. Probably the best customer service I’ve received online.
My bag has plenty of space and even more pockets than I originally thought there were. Extremely satisfied and will recommend to others. My bag came with several stickers and even a handwritten note from the owner. Thank you.
This is hands down the best DJ bag made on the planet. Super easy to access and store records after you play them.
The industrial engraved metal or brass name plate is the icing on top of the cake! Bulletproof, customizable, and really what sets your bag apart from others.
It’s not by chance that these are the platinum standard of the 45 bag market. Great attention to every single detail. A bag invented and produced by a working dj, co-signed by one of the most respected dj/selectors. I would dare compare these to the original technics 1200’s which were manufactured in Japan!! Quality quality quality!! Customer service is also second to none!!! I’m sure the warranty is great but I have had no issues with either of my other bags of 10+ years! Love the new magnetic snaps on the handles and the etched name plates are a really nice touch! These bags will be passed down for generations because they are built to last!!! Thank you, Case, Tucker & Bloom, and Rich!!! 🙌🏽 💎 🙌🏽 🙏🏽
My original T&B 45s bag (2016) is still going strong ~ best record bag I ever bought ~ period. When I saw a few bags were being made available + with new features ~ it was a no brainer to grab a 2nd bag for me, and one for my brother.
As ever the T&B guys were amazing on the customer service side, and helped with an expedited delivery. Thanks again Case and crew - can’t recommend T&B highly enough. Oscar, London 🇬🇧
I received an older version of this bag 8 or so years ago as a gift from my wife, but the older models didn't have a moveable shoulder pad (it was shearling & sewn ONTO the strap in a fixed position) - it worked great when resting on my shoulder & slung under my arm, but slung around the shoulder & onto my back it was terribly uncomfortable. I saw they now offer the bags with moveable pads, so I messaged them asking if there was any way to get a replacement strap with a moveable shoulder pad (or return it to have it replaced). Case Bloom replied VERY quickly & advised me to send it in & they'd replace the strap to the updated version for free! Such a great bag & amazing company. You have a customer for life!
